Chris is currently fighting in association with Ultimate Submission Academy in San Antonio, Texas. He is currently licensed in New Mexico and Texas with past fights in Hobbs, Clovis, Santa Fe, Rio Rancho and more to come.

Chris Cortez graduated from Estacado High School in Lubbock, Texas where he was a four year member of the wrestling team. He had many awards and accomplishments in wrestling including All State in Texas. He is currently serving in the United States Air Force while establishing his ranking as an MMA fighter.
